Floppy Disks - A memory of the past

Not long ago were our desks cluttered with stacks floppy disks for various storage purposes. How far has technology evolved to totally phase out the floppy disks.

In the years of the floppy, 1.44mb was the highest storage and every discussion between techie's involved the question, "How many floppy disks does the software need?".

Today, with the advancement in technology, 1.44mb storage is negligible and the floppy is becoming extinct just like the dinosaurs.
